Sleek and lightweight, the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro ticks all of the boxes if you’re looking for a new laptop. The Book 3 Pro comes with a vibrant 3K AMOLED display and utilizes the 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor to deliver consistently excellent performance regardless of the task. Dolby Atmos and AKG speakers provide great sound, and you get plenty of ports on the side of the laptop, including HDMI, two USB-C ports, a microSD slot, and even a USB-A port, which is a rarity these days.

Although all of this sounds great as it is, the specs become even more exciting when you consider the laptop’s impossibly thin and lightweight design. The 14-inch version of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro clocks in at just 11.3mm tall and weighs a mere 2.4 pounds, despite the fact that the laptop also boasts a durable, all-metal construction.

The 14-inch model typically retails for around $1,450, while the 16-inch starts at around $1,550. Neither option is exactly cheap — plus you don’t get a touchscreen — but if the Book 3 Pro works with your budget, these are minor strikes against a powerful laptop that should work for just about anyone.

If money isn’t an object, you can’t do much better than the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. This new laptop from Samsung is the tech brand’s latest premium flagship, and it doesn’t disappoint when it comes to unique features and top-of-the-line performance. As we described at length in our Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra review, the laptop brings together all of your Galaxy devices to form a cohesive ecosystem, but that barely scratches the surface of everything the Ultra can do.

The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra boasts a vibrant AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, plus you get a 1080p webcam with a two-mic system and AKG Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos. The 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H processor also provides enough lightning-fast performance to handle nearly any game or software with ease.

Not everything is rosy with the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, however. With a starting price of around $2,399, the laptop may be out of reach for many people. We also had some issues with battery life, and there’s no touchscreen or S Pen support. Despite these faults, if you’re already a Samsung user and you want the most premium laptop that the brand has to offer, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is certainly worth checking out.

Not a lot of storage

When you’re looking for the best Chromebooks in any category, it’s important to find laptops that have a nice value-to-performance ratio. In other words, Chromebooks don’t need to blow you away with premium performance, they just need to be reliable, versatile, and powerful enough to handle most of your daily tasks. Suffice to say, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 gets the job done with flying colors.

Like many of our favorite Chromebooks, the Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 features a lightweight, convertible design that allows you to transform the laptop into a tablet in an instant. This, of course, means that the Chromebook boasts a touchscreen. At 12.4 inches, the display is a bit on the smaller side, but it makes up for this with brilliant 2560 x 1600 resolution.

The Chromebook also has a durable alloy frame that can withstand the occasional tumble, plus you get up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 typically starts at around $449, and while it may not match the performance of other laptops on this list, it’s nevertheless a great option if you’re looking for the simple Chromebook experience.

4. Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360

Best convertible

Reasons to buy

+
Two-in-1 design
+
Touchscreen display is compatible with an S Pen
+
Thin and lightweight
+
All-day battery life

Reasons to avoid

-
15-inch version is only available with Core i7
-
Not much in the way of configurations
-
Only 1080p display, regardless of size

There are a couple of things that the Galaxy Book 3 360 has over both the Galaxy Book 3 Pro and Book 3 Ultra. The first of which is a convertible design, letting you either prop up the laptop and just use the screen, much like what you'll find with many of the best Chromebooks. This design is particularly useful if you want to flip the screen back and use it as a tablet.

Speaking of which, you'll also be able to use Samsung's excellent S Pen. This paired with the Galaxy Book 3 360 will let you take advantage of the native Windows Ink functionality. But, since this is a Samsung device, the company has baked in the same Air Actions menu that you'll find on the best Samsung tablets and phones.

While it might seem like there's enough to warrant the Galaxy Book 3 360 taking the top spot on this list, there are a few caveats. Despite Samsung using an AMOLED display, the resolution tops out at 1080p, regardless of whether you get the 13-inch or 15-inch model. Furthermore, you're out of luck if you want the larger screen but don't need extra horsepower, as the 15-inch Galaxy Book 3 360 is only available with the Intel Core i7, and not the Core i5.

Best budget option

5. Samsung Galaxy Book Go

Best budget option

Reasons to buy

+
Very affordable
+
Fan-less
+
Snapdragon processor
+
Plenty of ports, including USB-A

Reasons to avoid

-
Battery life isn't great
-
Doesn't match Lenovo IdeaPad Chromebooks

Although it’s a few years old at this point, the Samsung Galaxy Book Go continues to be a solid option if you need an affordable laptop that you can count on. Typically retailing for less than $300, the Galaxy Book Go hits that delicate balance between budget-friendliness and quality specs. The laptop comes with the solid Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c processor built right in, making it fast and entirely fanless.

The ultra-thin Samsung laptop measures at just 14.9mm in height, plus you get a nice 14-inch HD display and a full-size keyboard. Dual Dolby Atmos speakers deliver surprisingly crisp and clear sound quality, plus you get all the ports you need, including two USB-C, one USB-A, a headphone jack, and a microSD slot.

At this price point, don’t expect to be blown away by the performance or battery life, but if you’re looking for a Samsung laptop that’s thin, cheap, and quiet, the Galaxy Book Go is tough to beat.

6. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus

Best tablet

Reasons to buy

+
Gorgeous 120Hz AMOLED display
+
Expandable storage
+
S Pen included
+
LTE variant available
+
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset

Reasons to avoid

-
Expensive for a tablet
-
Keyboard case is sold separately

Yes, we are aware that this is a list of Samsung laptops, but pair a quality tablet like the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus with a keyboard case and you’ll be enjoying the best of both worlds. This device tops our list of the best Android tablets, and it isn’t hard to see why. The Tab S9 Plus uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset to deliver laptop-level performance, while the 12GB of RAM and expandable storage support means this tablet could be your go-to device for years to come.

Thanks to its 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Tab S9 Plus is glorious to look at as well. You’ll also get excellent battery life — up to 16 hours on a single charge — and quad AKG speakers that could compete with any laptop on this list. Something else that plays in this tablet's favor is that it's one of only a few Samsung laptops that is available with LTE. You'll have to pay a bit more, plus the monthly charge from your carrier, but pairing the Tab S9 Plus with LTE and a Book Cover Keyboard makes for the ultrabook of your dreams.

One problem with the Tab S9 Plus is that, with a retail price of around $1,000, the tablet is too pricey for many people. Not only that but if you did have the money to spend and you were in the market for a Samsung laptop, we’d probably recommend going for the base model Galaxy Book 3 or an older model Galaxy Book instead. But if you like the idea of a tablet with the power of a laptop, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus is the device for you.
